Zanfirico Collection

The Zanfirico collection is a group of glass pieces I designed using the classic pattern of the zanfirico cane, inspired by traditional venetian glass forms and techniques. I make rods of clear glass with tightly-wound black glass "threads" on the outside, assemble them at room temperature, fuse them hot into a sheet and roll them onto a blowpipe, blowing them into a variety of shapes. The designs are currently available in black and white canes.

The incalmo pieces are made by joining together different glass bubbles, creating one larger piece., The pieces below are shown in the black/clear glass canes and joined with sections of a beautiful opal Pigeon Gray glass.
