Tessera Group
In the dictionary Tessera, a noun ( pl. tesserae |ˈtesərē|) means a small block of stone, tile, glass, or other material used in the construction of a mosaic. " These tessera pieces are made by first drawing out flattened, colored glass rods, fusing them together into a sheet and rolling them onto a blowpipe. It's then possible to pinch off the end of the tube, creating a bubble on the end of the blowpipe that one can then case with more clear glass and blow out into a larger form with the cane striped pattern. This group is made from both opaque and transparent colors and many other color combinations are possible.
